History Book Launch and Official Opening of New Rooms

.

Saturday 15th August

A terrific evening was had by all who attended the School’s History Book and CD Launch on Saturday evening. It was lovely to see so many old faces and new ones enjoying looking through the School’s photos and memorabilia. The book /CD of the School’s History from 1992 to 2008 is a tribute to all who have both contributed to and supported our wonderful school. Thanks to past parent and teacher Clare Johnson researching and compiling the book with the children and to Liz Johnson for collating and designing the cover of the Book and CD.

Our two new refurbished classrooms and resource rooms made possible by the Federal Government Building Education Revolution National School Pride Funding of $75,000 were officially opened on the evening.

National Tree Planting Day 2009

.

Upper Primary walked to the Shire’s Rain Garden on Wednesday to continue their involvement and upkeep of this beautiful area, by planting out more native species.

On Friday Junior and Middle Primary Children took to the Rails to Trails just north of town for some serious digging and planting of native seedlings, including Jarrah and Marri trees. The childrens’ enthusiasm was unstoppable with many planting five or six seedlings. We hope to see the trees flourishing when we walk or ride by in the coming years.
